NOT AGAINNNNN edit: I'VE SEEN THE LIGHT!

Thu Sep 3, 2009, 9:48 AM
AKA I'VE SEEN A VERY POTTER MUSICAL.
OMG I ALMOST PISSED MY PANTS FROM LAUGHING SO HARD.
:iconhahaplz:
A lot of people commented on my recent hp fanart that it reminded them of AVPM or that I should watch it. Well I did, and it was amazing. Draco was hilarious. Omg. When he (well technically she-XD) rolled around the floor & on Harry n'friends, I could not stop laughing. My dad came in my room and asked if I was okay because I started choking on my glass of water from laughing while trying to swallow. Pigfarrrrtss lmao. RUMBLEROAR. XDDDD
Oh god. That is priceless.
I also especially liked Voldy, Quirrel (One of my favorite songs was To Dance Again XD), Ron and Dumbledore.
<3

Hi guys!
Sorry it's been a while.
I suspect every time I write a new journal entry, that's always going to be the first or second thing I say. ;g; Sorry y'all.

Anyway, I don't have much to say in this journal- however I just wanted to inform all of you guys that I've jumped back into the HP fandom. It's been probably four or five years since I've been really into HP, but I just recently re-read HBP and FINALLY read DH and I'm pretty obsessed with it. I think my sister wants to throw me out the window because I've become so obnoxious and fangirly. XD I've made her watch tons of YouTube videos about HP and made her go see HBP in theaters with me twice. :iconiloveyouplz:
( BTW- HBP was amazing. Omg. Loved it. Fav parts- Draco's angst-> :icondracoplz: :heart:, Harry drugged on lucky potion ["Not to mention, pincers! *silly pincers gesture:iconpincersplz:* XD <3", "HARRRYYY!" "SIRRR!" XDDD], "Pie?" XD, Ron drugged on love potion XD. It was overall a really great movie. Though, can't say I liked Daniel's haircut. His hair needs to look like it did in Prisoner of Azkaban or GoF <3. But yeah, def. one of my fav movies.)
:icontophatplz:
:iconharrypotterplz:

Having said that, expect HP fanart! I've sketched a lot, but I've yet to actually finish anything. I'm going to try and finish some stuff this week and get them up. School starts in about two weeks, so I want to get as much art-time in as I can. x___x

So yeah...I'm pretty much a huge nerd and spend most of my time nowadays on dA searching for good HP fanart. If you have run across anything really funny or amazing that has to do with HP, leave a comment with a link to it! :iconobsessedplz:

Uh... lemme see... do I have anything else important to say...

Oh, is anyone else fretting about college apps? @__@ God I can't takkkeee itt annymoreeeee. I just want it to be over! I want to get accpeted into college already so I don't have to worry anymore! asdnfa;slhgkasd;lg

Anyway, good day to you all.

What's up, people?
If you live in the U.S., Happy Independence Day! If you don't, Happy fourth day of July! :iconamericanflagplz:

Today I went golfing with my dad. My first time ever golfing...
Two words: Fail. :iconheaddeskplz:
I'm really not cut out to play sports of any kind. Even the ones where you just smack around a ball eighteen times.
Driving the golf cart was fun though :icondancingplz: ~

Well, it's summer for me, which is awesome. Bad thing is, I have summer school. x__x. I have to take Economics in order to get enough credits to graduate next year. At least it's not a hard class. My teacher is pretty funny, and we've played Monopoly a couple times now. Plus, I have a good friend taking the class with me, so we help each other with HW and such.

An exciting thing though, is that my sister is coming back this week from Japan!! She's been in Japan for a month now with a friend of hers. Traveling Japan was her graduation gift from my parents. I meeess her so much ;g; She just emailed me yesterday talking about her escapades in Tokyo. She went to the Square Enix store, and had fun looking at all the merchandise and the life-sized Sephiroth statue. XD She also did Karaoke last night. lololol

Anyway, ~Curious-Kitten, I'm almost done with your b-day present! Well.... I started it XD <3

Also, THANKS FOR 100,000+ PAGE VIEWS!!!! ILY GUYS~ :iconiloveyouplz:

I'll try to update more often you guys. I have a little more time now than I did before.

Enjoy your Holiday!

Hey guys

Sorry for my, like... four month disappearance. D8!
I apologize for not updating my journal, or my gallery.
School's been really demanding, as well as my home life. It's been too hectic for me to constantly check and update dA..... or any of my other sites, to be honest.

I'm not going to give you a huge spiel about each little thing that's been occupying my time, 'cause nobody wants to read that. XD Just know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! School is over for me in mid-June; which means I only have about 30 more days of hell!

You'll also be happy to hear that amidst all the chaos, I've still been able to get some drawing time in. I have several works in progress, and sketches. With a little refining and some color, they should be ready to post. But I'm going to wait to do that when it's summertime.

Hope you guys are enjoying your Spring! <3

Love you all :iconcreepysmileplz:

Okay...
So yeah, I have heard of this new virus thing that's going around with the links and all.
So just FYI, I'M NOT CLICKING ANY LINKS ANYONE SENDS ME FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS. I'm sorry
Unless I know you're a reliable source, and I can trust the links you give me, I'm not clicking any link sent to me.
I just got over a huge infection about two weeks ago. My computer was filled with about 45 Trojan Vundo viruses, and I'm really paranoid about it happening again. It was really scary. D;
According to what I've read, this link thing is not going to give your computer a virus, but it re-directs you to a page that asks for your dA name and password. It looks innocent enough, but I guess when you put your information in, it allows someone to hack your information or use your account. Something like that. But whatever it truly is, it's dangerous!!

And to the people who have constantly been sending me these links (you know who you are), I'm not a gullible IDIOT and you should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to crash my computer. Screw you!

:iconmiddlefingerplz:

*If you don't want this virus/dA info hacking page, please do not click the links that are currently on my page's comments. Those people are jerks and want me, and everyone who looks at my page, to get our accounts hacked. Don't be a victim!*

In other news:
My life is full of homework!
The end.

Much love to all my fans and friends. You know who you are. <3

MOVIE SPOILERS MOVIE SPOILES: READ WITH CAUTION
So this is the big question being asked to me...

"Simplydelightfulx, have you seen the Twilight Movie?!?!!?!"

Answer: Yes

Another big question....

"Simplydelightfulx, did you like the movie!?!?!?!"

Answer:.....
Lemme make a chart.

(I appoligize in advanced if none of this makes sense. I'm writing this at midnight, and I'm really, REALLY tired. But I wanted to get this out before I left for Thanksgiving break.)

Likes and Dislikes chart

I'll begin by saying this:
The movie was better than I expected. I went in the theatre with terribly low expectations... I wasn't that excited, and I told myself not to get worked up about it- because I knew if it really was that bad, then I wouldn't be too angry about it. I mean, why waste my time being depressed over a movie?

I’d also like to briefly summarize my Friday night experience:

My two friends, and my sister and I left home around 5:15 PM on Friday, and went out to eat at PF Changs before the movie. I had reserved tickets on Fandango the night before, because I was almost positive the tickets would be sold out if we tried to get them at the theatre.

(Now, I wasn't really thrilled about going on Friday.., I had a feeling it was going to be crowded, loud, obnoxious and overwhelming with all the annoying die-hard Twilighters there; however, Friday was the only day we could go, because I was going to be really busy Saturday night, and then gone for the rest of the week. )

So anyway, we get to the theatre, and my prediction was correct- there were TONS of people there.
However, many of them were from the previous showing; so excluding them, the line for our 7:50 PM showing was not too bad. The Fandango tickets got us through quickly and we got in line for the theatre. We actually had pretty good seats, I must say. I was really worried that being even 50 minutes early, we wouldn’t have that great of seats… but we got really great seats. XD
My friends got some snacks before the movie, and when they came back, we sat and watched as girls (and some guys) between the ages 10-20 (and a couple old ladies... ?) poured into the theatre. They were loud, obnoxious, and had tons of Twilight merchandise on. I kept telling my friends to plug their ears at the beginning of the movie, because I knew people were going to scream and squeal.
So the movie starts.... and to my surprise, the squealing wasn't that obnoxious. There were actually a lot of people "SHHHHSH"ing the crowd. XD I was amused.

I’ll start with my dislikes to get those over with:

:bulletred: I was overall pretty disappointed with the editing and cinematography. This is probably a really weird comment, seeing as more people criticize content instead of quality- but these things seriously bothered me. For example- in the scene where Bella’s all “I know what you are” in the forest, the camera went BURSERK. It was like, swirling around them, going in really awkward angles, and doing fast close ups and fade-outs. It was really distracting! I learned in my Film and Literature class that camera movements should be seamless and invisible- the camera movements should not distract you from the story. However, in this movie it did. So that was a little disappointing for me. I also thought the over all tone was a little more dark and brooding than I imagined it to be. (I’m king of mad at that class for making me such a critic… But even without that knowledge, I probably still would have picked up on the fact that it was choppy).
:bulletred: The plot moved WAY too fast. I felt like, if I hadn’t read the book… I would have had NO flipping idea what was going on. Edward’s explanations were a little confusing and too brief... the scenes ended without really getting the point across, and Bella and Edward’s relationship was really rushed. I understand there are certain things that need to be sped up, or taken out, in order to get the whole book into a two hour movie- but I thought they could have done a better job at it.
:bulletred: This leads into my next point about Bella and Edward’s rushed relationship. Don’t get me wrong, I thought Kristen and Rob did a great job together- though, it was probably really confusing to the people who didn't read the books, as to why they liked each other so much. I mean, in the movie… it pretty much boiled down to Bella falling in love with his vampire beauty, and Edward’s fascination with her blank mind. (Oh wait! That’s how it is in the book too!)…but I guess in the book it felt like they had more time to really get to know each other.
:bulletred: I was not impressed with the special effects. When they ran it looked really fake… when they jumped and climbed it looked fake, when the evil vamps made their entrance in the baseball field, you could so tell they were walking on that "magic carpet thing"…. And when Edward sparkled it was a bit awkward. Also- did anyone else notice that on close-ups of Edward’s face, you could tell he was wearing contacts? I lol’d.
:bulletred: I did not like the music score. Most of you know that I’m really critical when it comes to movie scores, because I’m a musician myself… and the music really contributes to my entire outlook on the movie. And unfortunately, I was totally unimpressed. I thought it was boring and it did not bring about the mood I was hoping for. (There were only a couple spots where I thought the music was appropriate -I’ll explain that in the "likes" section)
:bulletred: I did not like Rob’s voice. I didn’t think it was alluring at all. I could tell that he was trying to suppress his accent- and he didn’t do that great of a job to be honest. In some sentences, his accent was noticeable in the beginnings or endings. It just made his lines sound really… weird and forced. I think he was trying too hard. (He needs to learn from Hugh Laurie! I never realized he was British until I saw him on the House M.D. DVD extras. XD His American accent is SO spot-on.)
:bulletred: I think Kristen played a really boring Bella. I don’t think Bella showed any happiness, or excitement. She was either sad, aloof, ambivalent, or attracted/aroused. It made for a very boring performance. To me, Bella was a little more curious, a little more welcoming….a little more understanding. But in the movie she was kinda… cold. :\
:bulletred: The meadow scene was very… dark. I expected it to be really bright and happy and warm… but it was really dark and gloomy to me. D:
:bulletred: I didn’t like Edward’s room. It wasn’t at all how I pictured it…
:bulletred: The part in the movie that was modeled after the chapter called… Angel, I believe? Yeah, it was pretty anti-climactic. That was one of my favorite chapters in Twilight, and I didn’t think it was portrayed very well. It was too dark, and the music didn't give it the mood I was looking for. D: I cried at that chapter…. But in the movie I was just like “lol Bella’s in pain.”
:bulletred: The flashbacks were really unclear, and I think they were kinda unnecessary….
:bulletred: This isn't really a dislike- but it was something that was unintentionally funny- When Edward was sucking the bad blood out of Bella, did anyone else notice she went cross-eyed for like, a minute? IT WAS SO FUNNY. Also, in the fight scene, when Edward and James growl at each other, it was reallllllly FUNNY.

Now for my list of likes~:

:bulletblue: I LOVED the baseball scene. It was probably my favorite scene in the whole movie. The song (Supermassive Black Hole by Muse) fit perfectly! I thought everyone looked good, and the mix of slow motion and fast motion really went well together. Alice’s pitching was SO cool! And Jasper’s little bat flipping tricks were pretty boss. XD
And I lol’d at Edward and Emmett’s collision. XDD
:bulletblue: I really liked all of the humans!! Mike and Eric were ADORABLE. Holy cow! I think I liked them better than the vampires actually. XD Jessica was perfect~ And Angela was cute. However, I worried about her extreme thinness. D: She looked like a twig. CHARLIE WAS PERFECT. Holy cow! Billy Burke did a beautiful job with Charlie’s character. I loved the part where he was loading his gun and Bella came in to introduce him to Edward. XD I lol’d.
:bulletblue: I loved Billy (as in Billy Black) and Jacob. They were both awesome! Although I LOOOVEE Taylor Lautner… his voice sounded a little too urbanized. I’m not so sure that makes sense… but I hope he adopts a more husky sounding voice for the next movie.
:bulletblue: I loved the scene in the diner when Edward says (the line with the brackets around it is not exact wording, but that’s what he was talking about) “ [I can read what everyone is thinking- for instance that guy is thinking] sex, money, sex, money…cat?” LOL.
:bulletblue: I liked the Cullens! Especially Esme, Carlisle, Rosalie and Emmett! EMMETT ONLY HAD LIKE, TWO LINES, BUT THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL. :iconimhappyplz: I LOVED THE PART WHERE HE WAVED WITH THE KNIFE. I LOL’D. AND WHEN HE WAS LIKE “HER NAME /IS/ BELLA!” IT WAS FUNNNNYYY. Alright… I’m calm. :’D Dr. Carlisle did a really, really good job… and surprisingly… so did Esme! ROSALIE WAS AMAZING. Her clear dislike for Bella was very obvious, and she did a nice job at getting her opinions out. Very Rosalie-esque. I was a tad disappointed with Ashley Greene’s acting, but she got Alice’s movements, look, and personality down. Jasper… was just awkward and silent most of the movie. XD But it was a good awkward silent!
:bulletblue: I liked the part where they (the Cullens) were cooking food for Bella. That was amusing.
:bulletblue: I liked it when Bella was talking to her mom, and Edward pops into her room, and her mom’s like “ARE YOU BEING SAFEEEE?” LOL.
:bulletblue: I liked the kissing scene. Not gonna lie, that was pretty sexy.
:bulletblue: “LOOK BELLA, A WORRRMMMMMM” I LOLD.
:bulletblue: “Wooow, compost liquid!” “DON’T DRINK IT!” XDDD
:bulletblue: I really liked the evil vamps. They were awesome!
:bulletblue: Although it was a little rushed… I enjoyed the Port Angeles scene. XD Edward’s fast turn-arounds and squealing tires were sweeeet. B’D It was also really cute when he got all angry.
:bulletblue: The ending fight was better than the previews I saw. XD
:bulletblue: I actually like the little scene where Bella’s looking at Vampire stuff online, and she imagines that scene where Edward bites her. It was actually kind of cool. XD

So yeah. That’s about it…
Sorry for being so critical... I really did enjoy it... but there were quite a few things that bothered me at the same time.
There are other things that bothered me, or that I enjoyed… But I’d really be getting into the nitty gritty then. And frankly, I’m a little too tired right now to write anymore. I gotta catch a plane at 9 AM tomorrow! I may add some stuff when I return from my trip.
So tell me what you thought! Sorry this is so long… I had a lot to say. I doubt any of you read all of it… but props if you did! I’ve been thinking about this for a day or so… so I already had a huge list of things to talk about formed in my head.

Love you all, and hope you enjoyed the movie.
<33
(btw, I'll be gone all this week until next saturday. Have a great Thanksgiving Break, to those of you who celebrat it!)
