I felt it.
What?
I felt perfect.

I was perfect.

I've been planning to do this picture ever since I saw Black Swan back in December.

That movie... It was amazing. Perfection... It's definitely my pick for Best Picture at the Oscars.

**There are some spoilers for the movie ahead. Read with caution**

It's hard for me to talk about the movie without rambling for hours on what I thought about it...but basically the whole "double" life of Nina Sayers as the White & Black swan was incredible (and is what I tried to depict in this piece). Sad, but so beautifully portrayed in this movie. The snowballing of events dark and turbulent that led up to the climactic ending was just so well done.....
It was hard for me not to draw something from this movie.

As I drew this I listened to the movie's soundtrack, mostly "Opposites Attract" and "Perfection."
I highly recommend seeing the movie if you haven't (only if you're older than 16 at least and are OK with sex& some creepy violence) and also downloading these tracks. They're amazing. I have a hard time listening to "Perfection" without crying. I don't know why. It's not often that I get so emotional over a song.

So about the picture... I know the flaws. Anatomy especially. Her arm position is wonky, mostly because I couldn't find references for this position in specific. There are also some face position issues...bah. I used the few pictures I could find on Google of Natalie Portman playing this role, but there weren't many of this position.
I did experiment with coloring, lighting and manymanymany textures though. Mostly by `cloaks and a couple by ~nighty-stock and some by ~funnybunny-stock. Thank you all for your lovely textures! :iconthankyouplz:

I would really appreciate constructive criticism <3

Enjoy

Loved this movie! I feel bad for those in stage ballet that absolutely hate the movie and critiqued the crap out of it, but I also enjoyed it. I cried at the end it was so intense. xD (but then again, it doesn't take much to get me to cry - I get so sucked into a movie or storyline, it's like I'm a part of the events occuring on screen)

Anyways! I love the concept! I love that you gave them both wings, too! And with the two sides, I love that you have the Swan Queen's eyes closed, and then the Black Swan looking down on her. And the color of the light reflecting off their opposite's half is a nice touch too!

Thank you so much for posting this! :3

I love the picture overall. The two forms of that one person compliment each other well and I love how the darker form is looking down at the good one, kind off mocking her in a way. The title fits the beautiful picture perfectly. Really good job.
