For those of you who haven't read the series but want to, I suggest you don't read further... Some spoilers ahead!

So this is is the part in the second book Catching Fire right after the confrontation with the new Peacekeeper and Gale...

Sadnessss...But yeah. This is not a scene in particular, rather, a scene in my head of Katniss taking care of Gale (compressing him with medicine/snow) and Peeta "taking care of" Katniss...in a mental/emotional way.

The relationships between these characters are sooo stressfulll to me! I haven't finished the series but like... Katniss and Peeta are engaged (whatt?!)... but she doesn't love him, but he loves her and supports her unconditionally...but she knows Gale and loves him...uggggghhhh.
Though the whole "love triangle" gimmick is pretty overused in young adult novels, I'm such a sucker for hopeless romance.

I think at the moment I'm shipping PeetaxKatniss, just because I'm also a sucker for intelligent and kind blonde guys. hehehehe.

The style is kinda sloppy. Didn't spend a lot of time on the lines (which is quite obvious). Fiddled more with lighting/textures/layering... I was more concerned with the mood this picture portrayed rather than the technicalities. Hopefully that worked okay.

Done in CS4 about three nights of work.
I'm hoping the piece overall looks okay...I work on a Macbook, and it looks fine on my Mac.... but when I viewed it on a Dell Laptop, it looked fuzzy. Let me know if the quality is fuzzy/muted, please! I shall fix it...
Also, lolfail at background. It's supposed to be a darkened kitchen. But it looks more like a heaping pile of fail. as usual.

Heartbreaking!!! I almost cursed Katniss in this part, although one can't really blame her for choosing and loving Gale here. It's just sad seeing Peeta like that and I realized that Peeta can let her go is she can be truly be happy with Gale.

And at that moment, I wished Katniss suffers if she chose Gale. >__< I'm bad, I know.

I love Katniss' eyes, they are so intense! A lot of people could draw this same scene and not come close to conveying the same emotion you have. Great job.
